Cult Beauty: Christmas Unwrapped 2022
Just as we turned to our team to find out what the festive period means to them, we also reached out to two beauty-obsessed members of our Facebook group, Cult Beauty Chat Room. We invited them to our London HQ to talk all things beauty and Christmas... The Cult Community Enter: Bhavani, an artist, writer and social tech activist, and Summer: a student, writer and mother. {Cult Beauty} How does the festive period make you feel? {Bhavani} Cosy is the first word that comes to mind. I like the anticipation Words by Be than Robinson of the festive season; you get to see friends and family but also spend more time at home without being considered antisocial. {Summer} I absolutely love Christmas but it’s in the middle of exam season so it’s a mixture of fun, happiness and a mountain of stress. {CB} What are the traditions that you treasure year on year? {Bhavani} I always make my own Christmas cards from scratch, and I find it so calming and comforting. I design them and send them to the printers but it’s the writing and decorating side of it that I Iove most ― my cats often try to decorate with me. {Summer} It’s become something of a tradition to eat my way around the family. We go to my father-in-law’s for breakfast — a poached egg is a must because I’m not the one cooking or cleaning — and then to my mum’s for actual Christmas dinner. Bhavani
