Cult Beauty: Christmas Unwrapped 2022

{CB} What does a typical Christmas Day look like to you? {Bhavani} I’ve had many types of Christmas Days; growing up in India, my sister, brother and I would wake up early to presents in our shoes because we didn’t have stockings there. Now, my partner and I wake up super late and make pancakes before video calling our loved ones. {Summer} My little boy wakes up at the crack of dawn, and then we get straight into opening presents and building the toys — his little face lights up. After seeing family, we’re usually all in bed for nine o’clock, so it’s not the most rock-and-roll Christmas. {CB} We know the festive season can be overwhelming. Is there anything you find tough during this time? {Bhavani} My partner and I have family spread across the world so the hardest thing is that we can’t be in four places at once. I try to make up for it by making huge parcels for everybody. {Summer} Definitely balancing family time and studying. It’s peak exam time so I’ll be doing revision and trying to prep for the next semester’s modules. It’s stressful but definitely worth it. {CB} Which beauty hero are you hoping to unwrap come Christmas Day? {Bhavani} I’d love to unwrap a tool like Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare’s DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro (£430/€479) ― it’s something I’d never buy for myself. {Summer} This is a tricky one because my wishlist is always ridiculously long. I really want to try Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter (£36/€40.60) because everyone raves about it. I also have my eye on Sunday Riley’s U.F.O.
