Graphic liner is such a fun way to jazz up your makeup – allowing you to experiment with bold colours, textures and shapes! AUGUST 2022 15 Make sure the eyeliner isn’t running out so that you make sure to get a sharp graphic line, if you’re using a gel eyeliner try dipping it in water first! Top Tip FIRSTLY You’ll want to find a good liquid eyeliner to allow you to create your best design. We recommend a pen-style liquid eyeliner as these give you the most control and are comfortable to hold. Instead of a classic black eyeliner, why not experiment with bold colours such as blue or pink to really elevate your look! As a first step, we recommend mapping out the sort of line you want with a pencil-style brush and then going over it with your pen or gel eyeliner to create a sharp line.

We know that incorporating bold colours into your makeup can be tricky and feel a bit daunting if you’re used to nude shades. The way to do this is to take into consideration which colours complement each other as well as your skin tone and eye colour. For example, to make blue eyes pop, incorporate copper shades into your eye makeup, purple shades for brown eyes and metallic smokey shades for green eyes. Typically, coral or pink shades suit those with warmer undertones, and for those with lighter and cool toned undertones, makeup in lighter shades such as pink or blue are best. Always remember to wipe the excess product off your makeup brushes, start by applying softly and subtly on both the eyes and lips. Rather than applying the lipstick straight onto the lips, dab a bit onto your finger and apply directly to the lips to create more of a stain, that way you can see how deep of a shade you want to go with. You can then add a contrasting colour to the eyes to elevate your look. By applying this rule to your makeup application, the end result will always look more professional and carefully planned.
