COVER INTERVIEW With a growing social media following of over three million, I couldn’t help but wonder whether this was the driving force behind her advocating for positive change. “I was never really ready to have a platform. It wasn’t like I suddenly woke up one day and said: ‘Oh God, I have a platform, so I have to do something,'” she humbly admits. “But over time, I’ve realised that having such a big following has encouraged me to post content that’s helpful to the environment and the causes I support. I try to use my platform in the best way I can: sometimes I have fun with it and sometimes I use it to spread awareness.” There’s no denying that Phoebe’s actions are commendable, so it’s unsurprising to hear that she’s part of a strong female generation.
