Makeup artist Rose Gallagher (@rosegallagher) describes her rosacea as ‘an ongoing journey’. Dermatologist Dr Luke Maxwell explains: “Rosacea is one of the most misunderstood and misrepresented common skin conditions.” Symptoms include redness, skin thickening, blemish-like pustules or even eye sensitivity. Rose admits: “I’m not going to say I’m delighted every time I look in the mirror as I’m not. A bad skin day affects me as much as the next person. If we could all be in this skin neutral state where we’re not putting pressure on ourselves to feel radical self-love or wallowing in conditions where there are solutions, that could be really positive.” Rose’s advice? “Do your hair, go on your night out! It’s not ideal that your rosacea is there, but you can still make positive decisions to try and counteract what’s out of your control.” “If we could all be skin neutral where we’re not putting pressure on ourselves to feel radical selflove or wallowing in conditions where there are solutions, that could be really positive” & rosacea R O S E G A L L A G H E R INSIDE OUT
